READ YOUR BIBLE!! What you not going do is dismissively tell me to read a book over a 1000 pages long like it’s only 20 pages. Because I struggle with comprehension skills I had to figure out how to read the Bible in order (Genesis – Revelation), in a way I could remember what I read. I did this by first reminding myself that it’s just a book. With saying that, I wouldn’t start any other book I’m interested in from the middle instead of chapter one, so imma keep that same energy and start with Genesis. To retain what I was reading I turned the Bible into a book report. The easiest book report I ever wrote. What made it the easiest book report ever is all I was doing was writing exactly what I read in the Bible. It’s been proven that writing things down helps you remember. So I decided to not just read the Bible, but write down what I read exactly how it was written. The more I wrote down what I read, the easier it was for me to translate the language and remember what I had just read. By the time I was finished with Genesis I had created a flow of remembering what I read to the point where I no longer needed to write it down anymore. I could just read and receive it. I transitioned from reading the Bible with my mind to reading the Bible with my soul. When you begin to read the Bible with your soul, your soul automatically makes mental notes for you that coincide with your purpose in life. Versus you reading the Bible with your mind trying to remember everything you read just to be able to prove you read it and can quote it.
DISCLAIMER… I don’t read the Bible to memorize and quote scriptures or to memorize popular people’s journeys within the Bible. I read the Bible so I have an idea of how God is gonna handle me when I’m fuckin up and when I’m making him proud. No man is not without sin. I need to know how he’s handling those people in the Bible that’s doing right and wrong in his eyes, so I have an idea of how he gonna handle me when I’m doing right and wrong in his eyes.
And this is why I have no intention of ever providing advice to anyone regarding their life and challenges. I never want to overstep boundaries. I’ve been in a situation before when someone reached out to me for advice cause they was doing bad. And I prayed for them and said “Lord they really need your help, please help them”. And he said, “I’m proud of you for wanting to help your brothers and sisters in their time of need by making me aware of their struggles. However, that person is exactly where I want him. Leave him be. There’s no need to pray for him anymore.” And I had to respect that clarity by minding my business and staying in a child’s place. Cuz whatever that person was going through was between him and God. That’s why I don’t feel comfortable giving advice. I only know what you wanna tell me. Idk what you’re sincerely going through in your life. That’s between you and God. I would be overstepping boundaries by giving you advice that don’t coincide with whatever God is doing in your life. I’ll never be able to determine what God is doing in your life in a beneficial way. That’s something only you can do through your relationship with God. The only thing I’m doing is interpreting what I read in the Bible, through MY relationship with God. Dassit.
